Shawn Mendes showcased his ripped physique while enjoying the sand and sea in Miami earlier this week.
The 26-year-old singer–songwriter revealed his washboard abs while going shirtless for a dip while wearing a set of dark swim trunks.
The Canadian hitmaker was staying cool on the sunny day shortly before flying down toBrazil‘s Rio de Janeiro.
He has retreated from touring ever since 2022, when he cut his Wonder world tour short to focus on his mental health, but Shawn is set to return to the spotlight when he performs at the Rock in Rio festival on Sunday, September 22.
However, fans in Rio couldn’t seem to get enough of the reclusive pop singer, and Shawn was swarmed by a mob of overzealous Brazilian fans hoping to catch a glimpse of him or snap a photo while he ventured out to Ipanema Beach on Thursday.

Shawn’s outing earlier in the week in Miami was far more relaxed.
He was pictured stepping out of the cool green water and going for a short run across the brilliant white sand.
His dark hair was wet and slicked back in a ruggedly messy style, and he sported some a casual close-cropped beard and showcased her numerous tattoos.
The In My Blood singer was dressed up a bit more when he was pictured in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday.
He had on a simple white tank top and a dark pair of shorts, along with black-frame sunglasses with amber-colored lenses.
Shawn was pictured walking barefoot across the road as he walked away from the beach at the conclusion of his outing, but admiring fans and gawkers began to encircle him as he tried to leave.
He appeared to have security guards keeping the adoring crowd at bay, but he was still surrounded by numerous fans who held their phones high above their heads in hopes of snappy a blurry photo of the singer.
They’ll have another chance to see him on Sunday, when he performs as a headliner on the final day of Rock in Rio.

The festival cements Shawn’s return to touring after he Wonder world tour back in July of 2022.
He announced the abrupt end of the tour in a post shared on Instagram at the time.
‘As you guys know, I had to postpone the past few weeks of shows since I wasn’t totally prepared for the toll of being back on the road would take on me,’ he wrote.
‘I started this tour excited to finally get back to playing live after a long break due to the pandemic, but the reality is I was not at all ready for how difficult touring would be after this time away.
‘After speaking more with my team and working with an incredible group of health professionals, it has become more clear that I need to take the time I’ve never taken personally, to ground myself and come back stronger.’
He continued: ‘I unfortunately have to cancel the rest of the tour dates in North America, and the UK/Europe. We were hopeful that I might be able to pick up with the rest of the dates after some much needed time off, but at this time I have to put my health as my first priority.’
Before signing off, Shawn made it clear that he would still be working on new music before returning to the stage again, and he added that he was heartbroken for his adoring fans who had already purchased tickets to his concerts.
‘I know you all have been waiting so long to see these shows, and it breaks my heart to tell you this but I promise I will be back as soon as I’ve taken the right time to heal,’ he added. ‘I love you all and thank you all so much for supporting me and sticking by me on this journey.’

Shawn will be heading back to the US after taking a break for nearly a month.
He will return with a show in Nashville at the iconic Ryman Auditorium, before hitting the coasts with shows in Brooklyn on October 18, Los Angeles on October 22 and Seattle on October 24.
He’s also scheduled for dates in March of next year in India and South America.
Compared to the whirlwind pace of his previous tours, Shawn appears to be sticking to a more relaxed scheduled with longer breaks between shows.
